The Guild Ledger

Changelog

What's new and what's been fixed around the tavern, newest first.

Never miss a session again

We can now email you the day before a session on one of your tables — around 10am — so it never sneaks up on you. You're in control of how much: every session, only the ones you've already RSVP'd to, only the ones you haven't answered yet, or turn them off completely. Pick your setting under "Session reminders" on your profile.

If you haven't RSVP'd yet, the email has "I'm coming", "Maybe", and "Can't make it" buttons so you can respond in a couple of taps — no need to log in first. Every reminder also has a one-click unsubscribe if you'd rather not get them.

Friendlier, shareable links

Pages for tables, game nights, sessions, tales, and events now have tidy, readable web addresses — like /tables/friday-night-fever — instead of long strings of letters and numbers, so a link you copy from the address bar looks good when you share it. Old links keep working. And sharing a page no longer nudges people to join it: Dungeon Masters and admins now get a separate Invite button for that.

See who was at each table

Looking back at a past game night now shows who attended grouped by the table they played at — so you can see which tables ran and who was at each, at a glance, instead of one long flat list. Anyone who dropped in without joining a table shows up under "Wandered In".

A clearer guided tour

The Take a Tour walkthrough now steps down the sidebar in order instead of hopping around, and it includes the Members directory. Dungeon Masters, Moderators, and Admins each get a tour that matches what they can actually do — and Moderators and Admins now get their own guided tour for the first time.

Remove a photo without replacing it — plus a mobile editing fix

You can now clear an uploaded image with a small red ✕ button in its top corner — on a session, a game table, or a Wise member profile — instead of having to upload a new one just to get rid of the old one. We also fixed the text editor on phones, which could appear as white text on a white box when editing some pages.

Guests get their place in the crypt

If you drop in as a guest at someone else's table and your character dies, you can now link their Tale of the Fallen to that session. Your fallen guest character will be laid to rest in that table's chamber in the Mausoleum, alongside everyone else who fell there — instead of in a lonely grave of their own.

Spotlighted tales now appear on the Spotlights page

Featured tales now show up on the Spotlights page alongside standout session notes and game night comments, each with a link straight through to read the full story.

A warmer welcome on the homepage

When you're logged out, the homepage now opens with a photo of the club and a big "Come join us!" button that takes you straight to sign-up, so new folks can see friendly faces and jump right in. Organisers can swap the photo and edit the wording whenever they like to keep it current.

We've also made the portraits on the "Meet the Wise" page click-to-enlarge, so you can get a proper look at them.

Meet the Wardens and Stewards

Trusted members can now be given helper roles so more people can help keep the community running. You'll see their titles on profiles — Guild Master, Steward, Warden, and Dungeon Master — so it's clear who to turn to. Wardens help review reported posts and tidy the bulletin board; Stewards take on more of the day-to-day running of the site. Dungeon Masters look after their own tables, and new tables are still set up by request so an organiser can give them the nod.

Meet the Wise

The Wise page now introduces the club's founders and organisers as proper profiles, each with a photo, a role, and a short bio. Organisers can add, edit, reorder, and retire profiles over time, so the page stays current as the team changes.
