We pick up just after the Whiplash's recent battle with the endless horde of mind controlling monstrosities.

Finally safe aboard their new friends luxury yacht, "Daddy's Money", the party make their way to the Empyrean Crown. The jewel of the Astral Sea.

A divine artifact nearly forty miles across, it drifts eternally through the Astral Sea, its eight colossal spires rising like mountains from a circular band of silver-gold metal. Rivers of luminous energy flow between the points of the crown as though gravity has forgotten how to work.

Entire districts have been constructed upon and between the crown's immense arches.

The central jewel setting, once home to a gemstone the size of a city, is now occupied by a magnificent palace and observatory, where the wealthiest families maintain residences.

From afar, the crown glitters like a new constellation.

Very few people know why it's called the Empyrean Crown. The common belief is that it once belonged to god whose name has been lost. The oldest beings in the Astral Sea know a different story.

The crown was never worn by a god. But it was forged as a gift for one. It was completed just before the war that ended in the Pax Nephilim. The god it was meant to crown never lived to receive it.

Since then, no one has dared place it upon another's brow, for to do so would be to make a claim to a throne that has stood empty since the dawn of the current age.

To everyone else, the colossal crown has been the residence of beings beyond ancient and of immense power and staggering wealth throughout the multiverse planes.

The party embark through the city and make soul binding deals for legendary magic items that would ordinarily be outside their price range.

After stocking up on their new gear, the party regrouped to begin to plan how to get back home, when upon a sudden, a blinding winged column of light appeared in front of them, quickly taking the shape of a beautiful woman made of light, with eyes on its wings.

The angelic creature introduced itself as Evangeline, a Herald of the God Tyr, here to bring a message to the Whiplash on behalf of its deific master.

The party is being charged to bring an end to the machinations of the Cult of Dracul, and prevent them from breaking the seal on the fallen Nephilim, Dracul, which would bring an end to the aeons of peace brought about through the Pax Nephilim.

Evangeline informs the party that while the cult is active throughout the known world, the lieutenants of the cult, known as the Children of Dracul are enacting rituals throughout the world to destabilise the balance and bring about the return of Dracul.

The Children are located in Ceardach Anam, Great Bridge and Cinders Eyrie. Dracul has named the party as his Adversaries and from what the gods can tell, only they can put an end to the rituals.

With the information imparted Evangeline transported the Whiplash back to Ceardach Anam and straight into battle!
