Major Mars' Birthday Bash
Korea, 1950. Plasma freezes – supply trucks skid off roads – generators splutter out as they clog with ice – the bodies of the wounded steam when surgical knives slice them open & our esteemed surgeons warm their hands against their patients.
Can the MASH unit scrape together the resources to withstand this next wave of wounded? Or will their luck finally run out? And most importantly: how can you throw a party in these conditions??
Lt. Urho Kekkonen (the Padre) is distracted from an irksome case by a matter of marital misidentity. Cpl. Dean Mark Washington (the Grunt) misses a crucial radio call while fixing the OR's power. Pvt. Henderson Hays (the Corpsman) postpones party-planning to gamble with a patient's life. Cpt. MacArthur Mouse MacCarthy (the Doc) works his tail off to reorganise bed-space. Maj. Paul Bearer (the Cutter) can't keep his eyes open unless he's slicing into someone. And Maj. Marianne Faith Reynolds (the Angel) would rather duck out on her birthday, but the wounded keep rolling in & someone has to keep this hospital afloat...
