Meet the Knights!
-
Sir Bob, the Vulture Knight.
Heart-broken, going out breaking ladies' hearts. Sir Bob sees the future by carrion casting (no, you don't want to know what that is). -
Lady Electritia, the Thunder Knight.
You may have heard her. Lady Electritia just can't keep it quiet. She has this thunderous flamboyance about her. Plus, she added strings to her weapon. Can you imagine the cacophony? -
Sir John Doe, the Weaver Knight.
I know, he looks like a no one. A peasant, perhaps. But he swore an oath, I promise! Sir John Doe, is happiest when the sun is out. Just watch out for his throwing fork! -
Sir Leif, the Whip Knight.
His steed is pampered, but Sir Leif is definitely not. His spiny mace and his pain strike will strike terror in anyone. But those strange herbs, what are those? -
Lady Turtle Knight.
Short, stocky, but hey, it's not like her steed is much different! She is the great protector, with her unbreakable shell!
The First Omen!
Our brave Company of Knights rides through the golden fields of South Epictonia, when an odd green light hovers over them. It doesn't let go of our knights even when darkness comes, the green starlight overtaking the moon itself. An omen, for certain!
Sir Bob reaches out for the guts of an unfortunate mouse passing by, and foresees the strange origins of such omen. Northeast! The company is convinced. They will head that way. If their quest was secret, surely it's not at this stage, as Lady Electritia decides to keep the morale up by singing her thunderous songs that can be heard dozens of miles away.
Sir John Doe's Epiphany
They soon reach the marshes of Southeast Epictonia and start a tortuous cross. In the midst of this treacherous terrain, another omen! The sun comes to kiss the knights in the middle of field of golden flowers. Sir John Doe feels all of a sudden he is the most important knight in the world. He is special. He should be there, being kissed by the sun, forever.
The night comes, and despite the sun not wanting to retreat, the next day sees the knights back in the middle of unwelcoming swamps. They keep heading northeast, in the hopes of finding more.
The Leaning Tower of Veneris
It is then that they a lonely tower, with Sir Roderic the Rooster standing by the entrance, honour-bound to guard Lady Francis of Veneris, who lives up there. This leaning tower sits on a mound relatively dry and isolated from the murky waters of the swamp.
Most knights rush up the tower to meet Lady Francis, while Lady Electritia remains chatting with Sir Roderic the Rooster. The tower is run by halflings and dwarfs, servants of a petty Lady whose only goal is to eat, drink, and keep her possessions tightly around her. Of course, she was not expecting Sir Bob's charm, who engraced her with his mere presence.
The company finds that Sir Roderic's real wish, to find the mythical Cudgel, if it wasn't for his duty of guarding Lady Francis. If only he could be released of his oath. Lady Francis agrees to release Sir Roderic in exchange for Sir Bob, to which Sir Bob does not agree. This is when Lady Electritia offers herself to replace Sir Roderic. Unfortunately, her thunderous shouting caused Lady Francis to dismiss this request, even slightly damaging her fascination with Sir Bob the Vulture Knight.
Our knights go back to the nearest holding in Epictonia, certain that this was not their last adventure, and that they will soon find more about these myths!
